KIM BENDER

PRESIDENT

Kim Bender joined Preferred Apartment Communities as President in 2024 with three decades of property management experience and continues to put her extensive experience of transforming the property management industry to work every day. As President, she oversees the strategy and execution for PAC’s entire national multifamily portfolio, and provides imaginative experiences for our associates, residents, and investors.

Kim spent 23 years working with Fairfield as their President of Property Management where she led a team of property management professionals including Strategic Operations, Revenue Management, Affordable Compliance, Ancillary Services, Marketing, Property Maintenance, and Training. 

Prior to Fairfield, Kim spent seven years with the publicly traded AIMCO, which included working with National Housing Partnership Incorporated and overseeing assets for the NHP Foundation. Before AIMCO, she worked in the property management division for privately owned Hall Financial Group, Inc. in Texas. 

Kim is an active member of the National Multifamily Housing Council and Institute of Real Estate Management. She holds the Certified Apartment Property Supervisor certification through NAA and a Certified Property Manager® designation with IREM. She holds a real estate license in the state of California.
