Bill serves as Head of Financial Services for Preferred Apartment Communities. He previously served as Chief Financial Officer of Preferred Campus Communities since 2015. Prior to that time, he served as President/CEO of Lane Company until its acquisition by CFLane where he assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Barkwell has over 45 years’ experience in Real Estate working for developers, owners and operators of various verticals of real estate including Senior Vice President of Duddlesten Companies, Houston TX, Vice President, Insignia Management Group, Greenville, SC and President, Ambling Companies in Georgia. His experience includes operational or financial oversight of over 1,200 apartment communities totaling over 200,000 unit and student housing operations with 28,000 student beds across 50 communities.

Indemnification

Any claim or controversy arising out of, relating to, or concerning this Website and/or this agreement must be submitted to and settled under binding arbitration in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A. in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Subject to the rules of the American Arbitration Association, the decisions of the arbitrators will be binding and conclusive upon all parties involved, and judgment upon any decision of an arbitrator may be entered in the highest court of any forum, federal or state, having jurisdiction. Any such controversy or claim shall be arbitrated on an individual basis, and shall not be consolidated in any arbitration with any claim or controversy of any other party, nor shall arbitration on a class action basis be permitted.

Notices

Notice to you shall be deemed given 24 hours after email is sent, unless we are notified that the email address is invalid. Alternatively, we may give you notice by certified mail, postage prepaid and return receipt requested, to the address provided by you. In such case, notice shall be deemed given three (3) days after the date of mailing.

Entire Agreement / Severability and Waiver

This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and PAC with respect to this Website. This agreement supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether electronic, oral, or written, between you and PAC with respect to this Website. No modification of this agreement shall be effective unless it is authored by PAC, unless it is physically signed in blue ink by an officer of PAC. Any alleged waiver of any breach of this agreement shall not be deemed to be a waiver of any future breach.
